he didnt stop me all so good so far

got to planet holstein dropped of refugees

picked up basic alloys quick trip to nuremberg,

then took a whole load of MV's back to leeds,

no one stopped me at all, was a quiet run really

piecefull trading

Android_Data Yesterday at 11:28 am
me and blazer in our shires with handel escorting in his roc went off to holstein with refugees, for the rheinland run
no issues on the way, was a quiet run through met a few traders on the way happily going their way
docked at nuremberg to get mv's for leeds to strengthen the forces
all quiet on way back, no problem, good run

addition:

on way back from leeds jumphole to leeds met a rather eager molly gunboat and 2 fighters, had a few shots at me must of decided to give up i just carried on course to leeds without a problem.

Together with Data we did a Rheinland tour. No pirates on the route, few miners, no talkers...smooth ride, me leading half the way, Data leading the other half.

[Convoy] Message Dump thread

Post  Rubber_Duck on Sun Oct 31, 2010 9:24 pm

So... Have been on two routes to liberty yesterday, first single, the other one together with snakeeyes.

Nothing to report so far. Really. Nothing. We didnt encounter one single pirate.
Ah, yes. I have seen a weapons trader, he gave me his comm id.
So it should be possible to contact him to get in possession if codename weaponry.

Greetings

[Convoy] Message Dump Thread

Post  Rubber_Duck on Mon Nov 01, 2010 4:36 pm

*starting logbook recorder*

Me and Data just went to Rheinland to deliver the weekly shipload of military vehicles to Battleship Westfalen, and we were escorted by Gleaves and Tribal.

I dont know whats brewing at the moment, but we havent seen any pirate... lanes are becoming quite calm at the moment, i dont know... maybe its because rheinland has set shipping regulations. I just dont have another idea yet... Lets hope things stay that way.

*A beep can be heard*

*Computer Voice: Planet Leeds docking clamps fixed*

Alright. Enough for today. Rubber_Duck out.

*stopping logbook recorder*

*starting logbook recorder*

*some noises can be heard, sound like some people talking, at the beginning of their end-work*

*A large planet appears on the bridge screen, the background filled with orange-brown dust clouds*

Ah, good to be at Leeds again. Lieutenant, stay in orbit until I have finished Logbook recording.
"Yes, Sir."

We just come from Liberty, was the second route for today. Gleaves and Tribal were leading, and Beethoven and me did the freight job. Intresting is, that there is nothing unusual to report. Everything was quiet. It really seems the silence before... yes. before what. A really hard storm, maybe.
Oh wait...
"Yes Sir?"
No, not you, Lieutenant.
"Roger, Sir."
There is something to report. Seems like there are some strange things happening to the Hellfire Legion... It seems like they dont like piracy any longer, one of them flew escort for us, and I was told via a private comm channel to call him, if help is needed. Very strange, indeed.
Alright, Lieutenant. Initiate docking procedure for planet Leeds, transmit security protocols.
"Roger, Sir."

*a beep can be heard*

*Computer Voice: Planet Leeds docking clamps fixed*

Ahm... Hm, whatever. Rubber_Duck out.

*stopping logbook recorder*

Handel report:

Crazy night, we were barely escaping from some rougues due to Ducky's diplomatic knowledge and on our way back from NY a full armada of Xino ships appears on radar. Navy was engaging already, they attacked us, we tried to defend. Shires got to destination safely, Gleaves was on fire:

http://www.xfire.com/profile/mefistocelus/screenshots/?view#106361923

We disengaged and proceed to Leeds. As I was busy dodging plasma I am sure that Ducky has another view and perspective as was happened.

Re: [Convoy] Message dump thread

Post  Rubber_Duck on Thu Nov 04, 2010 5:27 pm

*starting logbook recorder*
*video transmission enabled*

*A tall man can be seen, standing in front of a screen, showing a brown planet with orange-brown dust clouds in background. Alert lights flashing, the air sems to be smoky a little bit*

Lieutenant, docking automatics working?
"Yes Sir. We have some damages, cruise enginges offline. But the docking automatics seems to be functional"

Good. Alright... We just have arrived at Leeds. But truly. I dont need these sort of days often, lets you get older. We, and this means: Edison_Blazer, Wild_Horse, Me, Escort_Gleaves, Escort_Ingham and Escort_Handel have just from Leeds. Universe looked bright and peaceful today...

We had an additional Liberty Navy escort, a carrier has awaited our arrival at Freeport 4, Magellan. But then we reached California... and everything went... strange.

*a loud beep can be heard*
"Sir, we have the cruise enginges working again!"
Roger, lieutenant. Got it.

So... after having passed mojave, it could be ssen... a rogue berghest has cut the lane. The carrier escorting us went to battle position, 2 other rogue barghests appeared. But it seemed they weren't almost that sure than they are usual, as they only demanded about 2 million credits for all of us. Thinking about the porr refugees in our holds, i decided to accept. The navy carrier held the position, and several navy reinforcements appeared more quick than I can blink. So we had left the battleground untouched.

Proceeding to Pittsburgh. By arriving at the planet, Blazer and Wild Horse had several engine problems, they weren't able to stop in time and rushed into the atmosphere. For gods sake, me and Gleaves were able to tractor in their escape pods... And all the refugees, flying thorugh space in their transport containers. We picked them up, and brought them to a medical station as soon as possible.

"Sir? I'm sorry, but we have two wounded midshipmen in the engine section, sir"
Severely wounded?
"One of them, yes sir. Engine parts were flying around, perforated his lung"
Oh my god. Lieutenant, take the shuttle. Bring him to the planet, as soon as possible. I think he isn't in the condition to survive the docking procedure. And take the other wounded man with you, too!
"Roger, sir. On the way."

So, as I was the last transport remaining, we went on route again. Additional escort came with a Liberty Gunboat. The battleground from some time ago could pe passed, all rogues were gone or had been destroyed by the navy. but only a few lanes more...
Xenos. A sizable force of them. After we were running out of patience, and the liberty gunboat already begun the battle, I told my escorts to open fire. The xenos were losing interest in myself, so I was able to leave undamaged, while my brave escorts kept fighting the three Xeno bombers.

I reached Planet Los Angeles then, getting additonal escort by a Freelancer Kusari Explorer which is well known to all of us. I got escort until Leeds. We went in the Lane to LD-14 then, my escorts were still fighting the Xenos, nothing unusual happened. On the way, just coming out of the lane from LD-14 to Stokes, a Kusari Battleship with all its escort appeared right 300m along my side. I dont know why I havent seen it... but I was immediately taking fire. The Freelancer escort couldnt help me, so I told him to scout the next lane, trying to reach it myself. I made it out that hell, but... with wounded men, damaged ship... and scratched honor.

Now, I'm right in the Orbit of Leeds, my escorts have cancelled the battle and are heading home, Gleaves is burning, I have heard. Brave men. I hope his losses weren't too hard, its a great crew. The other escorts remained undamaged, seems the Xenos concentrated fire only upon the escort leader. Ah I see them coming... my god. Gleaves really is burning. We need immediate repairs.
Lieutenant? Damn, on the way. Ensign! Ensign Fuller?
"Sir?"
go to the machine room, call Commander Travis! He should immediately go aboard the Gleaves, and see if he can do something for them!
"Roger that, sir."

Alright. As they are coming now, I'm gonna activate the docking clamps.

*a beep can be heard*

*Computer Voice: Planet Leeds docking clamps fixed*

Ahm... Hope such days wont happen too often.... Rubber_Duck out.

*stopping logbook recorder*

Yesterday I joined the guys a little bit later, luckily they were orbiting Leeds. I took my eagle and headed for New York. In New York we encountered 3 pirates, 1 pirate transport and 2 VHF. We had 2 GB, 1 roc and 1 eagle, a force that discouraged the pirates into taking any demands. The back trip was also smooth (I bought some cardie from Manhatten, good rear end output) and in Leeds, BAF had some problems with some Kusari scum. I switched to my roc and together with the other convoy escorts we managed to put a fight and to help destroy a Kusary BS and another Destroyer (I think). Pictures from the fight:

http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/106806010-4.jpg

The funny thing was to make a tour to Liberty in 7 (yes, seven) shires without escorts:

After delivering the boron on LD14, Ducky had a great idea...to utilize our 12 guns per shire to....to....kill some kusari scums (Auxiliary Fleet: 1 BS, 3 Destroyers, 3 Gunboats, I think)

Hello amigos,

I did a Liberty tour yesterday evening with Blazy and Wild Horse. Blazy with an eagle and we drove the shires. As usual, pirates in Cali, this time there were 3 of them, Wild Horse paid 1 mil SC to them, I had some technical difficulties when trying to send the cash to one pirate...not fully understand why. In New York all was relatively quiet, when we returned to Cali the pirates were gone, LN did their job thoroughly.
In this morning I received on secure channels a message from our great leader Ducky boy that I was granted the use of a Templar VHF. So, in the future you will see me with my new ship (I am thinking to install a killer light set-up, hmm....I should talk to our Christmas tree ship owner Blazy)...

Beethoven out...for now...adios....

Hello amigos,

Yesterday, Blazy and me did visit that big battleship outside Planet Leeds (Derby one) and happily bought our new TEMPLARS. Fine piece of technology if you ask me, downside is that, in comparison with the EAGLE, it is less maneuverable but more shields and power core. With this baby you can use the razor a lot more faster that on the old eagle (ask Blazy, my razor did some scars on him). I do have 2 camshots:

Adios

-Incoming log-

What a night it was! I made a couple of runs with United_Faith and for a moment Disco. Some other traders tagged along with us and one decided he wanted to join the Convoy so you should see a new member soon enough Very Happy. It was a quiet night and not much to report.

Hola,

I did a Liberty tour with Ingham and Wild_Horse. Drunken Cigar was also online but he already on his way to Leeds.
I took the templar and in formation with Ingham we met Wild_Horse in Cali. I saw a Bowex guy, called him brother but he did not answered (he was carrying Hull plates so, Ducky, I suppose Bowex don't need our help for the job requested by the intelligence agency):
1
In the next lane we met a Phantom, ugly thing. He requested 6 mil but he left in the hurry when LN showed up:
2
With him there were 2 more pirates, one rogue and one outcast, they requested 1 mil and for that kind of cash I didn't want to risk the life of the refugees. Wild_horse insisted to pay the sum and the rest of the tour was smooth:
3
On the way, Preston also joined us and we moved to LD 14 together. Hell, 4 escorts for one shire. That I call SECURE!!! After arriving back to Leeds safely, me and Preston decided to do some training in fighters near LD-14. That was fun, Preston managed to kiss his own mine once Very Happy
BUT, that is not over, guess who entered Leeds system....yes....JAREK.
We both changed to bombers, also Wild_Horse and engaged Jarek:
4
5
As you can see, Jarek decided to quit the fight without honor. And, also, if you look close, I was targeted by our own auxiliary ships after I miss target a mosquito CD. For a poor mosquito? Jesus....

Ok, that would be all for tonight...God speed

Well I just got done with an interesting liberty run. I was in my Bomber escorting Ted, Faith, another trader, and later Shadow (hopefully I didn't miss anyone). At the start of our route we were having no problems with trade until we hit the California --> New York gate. There we encountered a LN cruiser that warned us of a rampant AI cruiser causing trouble and shooting authority on site in New York. We had refugees growing restless and low on supplies, not enough to bring them back to Leeds; so we decided that we are the merchant navy, we knew what we were signing on for and the risks we had to take. We decided to press on through and I made the decision to go ahead a lane to clear the way for the 3 shires (Ted, Faith, and the other trader). I ran into the AI that we were warned about and quickly radioed back the information to the rest who acted so quickly and orderly that it made me proud to be in the convoy. The AI did not engage but did follow for quite sometime. Eventually the LN found him chasing us and ran him off, later to see that the AI engaged the LN only to lose its chips to the cold vacuum of space. Shadow then joined us and beyond that it was a smooth Liberty run and no other complications arose minus the leading of 3 shires and a percheron in a challenger; I got bumped every time at the end of lanes! x) I also saw Fish_Cakes and another member that I cant remember the name of. Either way, sooo many new people its hard to keep track of them all.

Long live (convoy) and long live the Queen!

Beety here.

I did a run to Liberty. So quiet in this period, I miss the pirates. I made an acquittance with Brick "Fast dock". Nice guy, he knows his rear end output well.

Some fine pictures:

*starting logbook recorder*
*video transmission enabled*

*A tall man can be seen, with a black coloured beard all over his face. He seems to be a bit stressed, even if his voice sounds very calm*
Lieutenant, take a stationary orbit above planet Leeds, until I finished the Logbook recording!

*Yes sir. Orbit taken.*

Alright. We are back at Leeds again... but indeed, this day made me older. About 5 years, nearly.
*laughter can be heard, the man talking laughes, too*
Our route had just begun, who were me, Flying_Mustang, Super_Cabbage and Paul_Chapman, with HMS-Gleaves, HMS-Fletcher, Benson, Radford and Sunrail as escorting vessels.

When we passed the Magellan Jumphole, which is our usual route when bringing Refugees or Ore to New York, we were just surrounded by several Craft, showing hostile behaviour. As it seemed, they intended to tax us, because 2 of my transports, Cabbage and Chapman, were carrying a part load of Gold Ore from Dublin, which is one of the best ways to serve her majesties War Effort.

As i was told, that they demanded the sum of 15 Million Sirius Credits, I... lets say, became angry a bit, and started to scan the hostile ships.
*Another loud laughter can be heard, this time out of the direction Weapons Control*
Hey, Commander! Would you please keep it quiet while I am recording the logs?

*Sorry, sir. i just rememberd what happened. And... true, it isnt that funny at all. My apologies, sir.*

Okay... where have I been.... right. the scanning. So, the Scan said, there was a single Tridente Gunboat, 2 Lane Hacker Bombers, a Roc Bomber, a Barghest, and a single Sabre. Okay. hard stuff. But i wasnt willing at all to pay 15 Millions, so the fight... started. We bacame some help of an IMG officer, helping us to fight against outcast signatured craft. While Mr. Chapman was in his captains cabin, his ship was severly hit, so he needed to abandon it, and for gods sake, i got his eject pod.

But, against all earlier expectations, one enemy after another was falling. So, the Tridente went down first, Gleaves and Benson were on him, when he passed my Shire....
Oh, Commander! Was that why you were laughing?
*Points on the weapons control*

*Yes sir, indeed*

Okay. Well, we have hit him badly, so that Gleaves was able to finish him off quickly, while Radford, Sunrail and Fletcher were caring for the other bombers. I dont know what happened to the Sabre, it all went really quick. But the bomber didnt survive too long, and Sunrail was after the fleeing ones. So, with a single loss, we could regroup to our standard two columns and leave the area.

Meanwhile, I ordered a new Shire from our Docking Bay at Leeds, which arrived soon, so that Paul_Chapman could take over that craft, and we were able to continue our route.
And since most crafts didnt waste any supplies in combat, only a few of us needed emergency repairs on Freeport 4, which we were gladly granted to use by the IMG officer who was helping us.

All went without further problems, until we entered New York space.

We heard some well known voices, i wont mention the names in this case, over system wide comms. Those ones made me shiver. Sunrail proposed to scout ahead, and to keep them involved in action, if he should find them.
So, we tried to make our way to Pittsburgh, my column arrived there without problems, the second column was disrupted, and Super_Cabbage was hit, so that he needed to abandon his ship. Paul_Chapman got his eject pod in that time, and tried to reach Pittsburgh, while Fletcher was providing support fire, and Sunrail engaged the enemy.
We reached Pittsburgh then safely, and commenced our route to Detroit, then to Ontario and to Leeds. No further incidents.

In fact, we lost 2 Shire class transports on that way, including both Gold Ore shipments. But all the 6000 refugees reached their destination safely. 1 Gunboat slightly damaged, 1 Shire slightly damaged. My craft hadn't been hit at all, seemed to be a lucky day for me. And both of the Snubs that escorted us finally werent damaged, Sunrail was destroyed, after habing bravely killed one of the offenders, his eject pod was tractored in by an LNS craft after Sunrail delivered a hell of a fight. After some time in hospital, he will be in service again, I'm sure.

That's it for today. I'm gonna sign off, I will visit Chamberlains tea room. For a glass... no, a bottle of scotch.

*Looks at his Commo*
Lieutenant, send a short transmission to all craft that were in our last Convoy. We meet in Chamberlains tea room soon, all on my expenses.

*Roger that, sir.*

Let's dock.

*a beep can be heard*

*Computer Voice: Planet Leeds docking clamps fixed*

*stopping logbook recorder*

Greetings! Richard Cale onboard the River Tyne here.

Today we had, quite unusally, a little convoy. Bemazed Glue in the Percheron, me in the Shire and Lieutenant Epps in the Gunboat as column leader. After only one hour, all the people being in the today's schedule had been put up in Glue's and Tyne's quarters, therefor we could take off pretty early. We expected not be stopped actually, to our surprise there was a Hacker in a Tridente Gunboat next to the Leeds Jumphole in Magellan. The demand of 5 millions was just rude, thus we decided to dare an assault. In the end we could defeat the greedy pirate. Glue suffered some damage, luckily he could could attend a quick repair on Freeport 4 later on. The rest of the journey went by pretty calm. The refugees were dumped on Pittsburgh, obviously happy to have successfully left behind the never ending war. A few tons of Boron were acquired on Pittsburgh and unbrokenly shipped to LD-14 in Leeds.

That's all, for our glorious homeland!

Good Morning! Richard Cale onboard the escort ship Apollo here.

Last night, a medium sized convoy started at 23:30 Leeds Mean Time from the refugee camp on the surface of Leeds. 2 Shires and 1 Percheron were hauling the scheduled refugees. Our jorney started quite calm, without further issues we could cross the systems of Leeds, Cambridge and Omega-3. Even Omega-7 was comparatively secure at this time. Only a lonely fighter of the Coalition showed up on my radar. In Stuttgart we were attacked by heavy ion storms, hence we were forced to dock for a few hours. In the end we suffered a total of 3 ion storms. This caused indeed some troubles, we came back home later as expected. Despite all that, the refugees were dumped on Planet Holstein, the Oder Shipyard in New Berlin received a new load of Mining Machinery and the inventory of Engine Components of Southampton could be refilled.

Our convoy:

HMS-Ashfield - Leader of main column
HMS-Cambridge - Leader of secondary column, was forced to stay at Oder Shipyard due to heavy computer system damages caused by the ion storms
Android Data - First Shire
Unlucky Alf - Second Shire
Time Bandit - Percheron
Escort Apollo - Scout

That's all, for our glorious homeland!
